The Poor. Through our mercy fund, our benevolence budget, and mercy outreach initiatives undertaken by individuals and our EMT, we seek to make tangible the love of Emmanuel, especially in our neighborhood. We tithe our internal General Fund giving to mercy and missions.
Internationals. Leaders from all over the world are on our doorstep. We seek to welcome them, to help them in practical ways, to introduce them to the Lord and help prepare them to return home as believers.
Students. God has placed us in the center of students and has brought many to us. We seek to be a home away from home for them--a place where they find Emmanuel and grow in him.
Church Planting and Missions. Convinced that establishing new churches is the best way to extend the kingdom of God, we are committed to training church planting interns, to planting a daughter church out of EPC when we reach 600, and to contributing a portion of our benevolence giving to church planting, particularly in urban areas. A portion of our benevolence budget goes as well to support missionaries, particularly our own. Our pastor sepends 5% of his time cultivating and discipling young church leaders in the NY Metro area.

Musicians. Noting that NYC is the home to many musicians, we seek as a church family to be particularly welcoming to them, offering them honoraria to play in our worship, sponsoring the Elbereth Chamber Music series, and offering high caliber music in our worship.
Singles. At least half of our membership and a large proportion of our neighborhood are made up of people who, like Jesus, are single. We welcome them into our church family, valuing their mobility and giftedness, eager to help them find friends and avenues of service.
Families. We seek to provide young families in our neighborhood with the wisdom they need for strong marriages and effective child rearing.
