He is before all things, and in him all things hold
together. 18 And he is the head of the body, the
church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from
among the dead, so that in everything he might have
the supremacy. (Colossians 1:17-18)
Seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which
I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for
it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.
(Jeremiah 29:7)
42 They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching
and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and
to prayer. 43 Everyone was filled with awe, and many
wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles.
44 All the believers were together and had everything
in common. 45 Selling their possessions and goods,
they gave to anyone as he had need. 46 Every day
they continued to meet together in the temple courts.
They broke bread in their homes and ate together
with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and
enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord
added to their number daily those who were being
saved. (Acts 2)
9 After this I looked and there before me was a
great multitude that no one could count, from every
nation, tribe, people and language, standing before
the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing
white robes and were holding palm branches in their
hands. 10 And they cried out in a loud voice: "Salvation
belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to
the Lamb." (Rev.7)
