Ministry Opportunities

Here are a few of the many ways to become involved in the ministries of Emmanuel Presbyterian Church.

Roots in the Heights - A mentoring ministry at Emmanuel
What: We will support you through a year long, one-on-one relationship with a child (ages 8-14), or join a team to support a mentorship in prayer.
Where: Morningside Heights and the surrounding neighborhoods (pray from anywhere)
When: Mentoring applications available now, please submit them by the first training session in March

Children's Ministry
What: Volunteers needed for childcare and Christian education ministries.
Who: Anyone interested in serving toddlers, pre-schoolers, and elementary school children
When: The opportunities & responsibilities are on a once or twice a month basis.

Sound Crew Volunteer - No Experience Necessary.
What:
Behind-the-scenes people to set up, break down and monitor the soundboard.
When: Approximately once a month.
Who: Anyone who is reliable, has common sense, and can hear.

Projector Crew
What: Setup and breakdown of the projector and screen
When: Approximately once to twice a month
Who: Anyone who has an interest. We will be happy to train.

Music Ministry - Emmanuel Choir
What
: Volunteers are needed!
When: Once a month the choir sings for the offertory
Who: Open to all voices: trained, untrained, and trainable!

Moms & Meals Ministry (M & Ms)!
What: Volunteers to cook, send or deliver meals to new moms on a regular basis.
Who: Anyone who likes to cook, order, drive or walk.
Why: To create community by serving new moms and their families with good food to help them in their first month of adjustment.

Refreshment Ministry
What: Volunteers always needed to provide snacks and refreshments for after-service fellowshiping
When: Rotational basis depending on the number of volunteers)
Who: Anyone (ps. its easy to volunteer your home fellowship group and share
the duties!)
