How can I really get to know people better at Emmanuel?
Home Fellowship Groups:
No other ministry opportunity is as central to our church as fellowship groups. They are the primary place of pastoral care. HFG’s meet throughout the neighborhood—and even elsewhere (we have an “Emmanuel satellite” in Washington Heights) during the week and include worship, Bible study, sharing and prayer. To join a Home Fellowship Group please fill out the form located at the Welcome Table, tear off the response card in the back of the bulletin and put it into the offering basket, or contact Scott Strickman, our HFG Coordinator at sstrickman@emmanuelnyc.org, or the church office, (212) 870-3185.

Growth Partnership Network:
Guided and intentional one-on-one friendships whose purpose is mutual growth in the knowledge and love of Jesus. We provide a curriculum and user-friendly training material. For more information please contact Reyn Cabinte at rcabinte@emmanuelnyc.org.

Emmanuel Choir:
Do you love to sing? Love to make melody in your heart? Let your voice ring out in praise to God in our new Emmanuel Choir! Open to all voices: trained, untrained, and trainable! The Choir will sing the offertory once a month. Come sing with us! Please contact: Mavis Pan at mpan@emmanuelnyc.org

Where do I go to get help with persistent and troubling personal problems?
Counseling:
Redeemer Presbyterian Church, our Mother Church, has established a Counseling Center at its offices at 271 Madison Ave. Please call Administrator Denise Poole for information and an initial appointment at 212 370 0475 (x 131).

Finding God in New York
If there is a loving God out there (and there is), why should it come as a surprise to us that he would do whatever is necessary to make himself clear and accessible? Why should it come as a surprise that he would actually come searching for us?

God is there - accessible, loving, and knowable. There is ample reason for believing he exists. But you won't actually find him until you trust him. And you won't really trust him until you trust Jesus, the one whom he sent.

Don't permit a fashionable cynicism to deprive you of the relationship for which you were made.
