Emmanuel's Orchard: A new plan for growing in Christ
Whether you have been with us for a long time or are new and planning to be with us for only a few years, we want to help you mature as a follower of Jesus. We have been pursuing this aim since we began but recently decided to be more explicit and systematic about it through what we are calling our “Emmanuel’s Orchard Plan” for Christian growth. The plan, fully described in the “Emmanuel’s Orchard” pamphlet, will include some new church-wide initiatives and will unify and use our existing offerings in new ways. And since a lot of our people are with us for only three years, we have designed it so that it can be gotten through readily in that amount of time.
Orchard Sundays are an integral part of "Emmanuel's Orchard." Stay for a free lunch, fellowship, a talk, and practical and lively discussion in small groups. Childcare provided.

Next Orchard Sunday, September 14

If you are unable to attend but would like to commit to actively praying for their work and plans, please feel free to email them at evelinandearl@yahoo.com.

Growing Deeper at EPC
(Leadership Training)
Be transformed by the renewing of your minds (Romans 12)

How does the gospel change me so that I can be of help to others?
How do we interpret the Bible so that it gives life to us and to those we teach?
Why is the church so important to Jesus and what does a healthy church look like?
What do we mean when we say God is in charge of everything and why is this so important to know?
What is the PCA, where did we come from, and how do we relate to the rest of the Christian world?

We will be discussing these and other questions in six sessions this summer and fall. Required for all those who have been nominated to serve as church officers. Open to all.

Tuesday evenings, approximately once a month. The first (and only summer) session: Tuesday, July 15, 7:15 – 9:45. Taught by Charlie and Scott. Location: Union Theological Seminary, Room 303. Please notify Mara at the office immediately if you plan to attend.
